About

Founded in 1991, Navan Toastmasters consists of a diverse group of people from all walks of life. Our meetings are run in a relaxed and supportive environment offering members the opportunity to develop effective communication and leadership skills that can be transferred to every day life.

At Toastmasters meetings, members learn by speaking to the group and working with each other in a supportive environment. Each meeting gives everyone an opportunity to practice:

  • Conducting meetings – Meetings usually begin with a short business session which helps members learn basic meeting procedures.
  • Giving impromptu speeches – Members present one-to two-minute impromptu speeches on assigned topics.
  • Presenting prepared speeches – Two or more members present speeches based on projects from the Toastmasters International Pathways Programme.  Pathways is designed to help you build the competencies you need to communicate and lead. There are 11 Pathways that you can choose based on your personal and professional goals.  Click here for more details
  • Offering constructive evaluation – Every prepared speaker is assigned an evaluator who points out speech strengths and offers suggestions for improvement.
