Congratulations to our President Cathy for steering the ship so admirably throughout the season and being instrumental in the club achieving Presidents Distinguished Status.
Special mention to Michael McCann for all of the last minute interventions.
Special thanks to our outgoing committee members for all their hard work over the year.

Our penultimate meeting of the year….. and what a night…
Congratulations to our President (Captain) Cathy Reilly and her Team for steering the good ship Navan Toastmaster to Presidents Distinguished Club Status.
Congratulations also to Kate Horton on a brilliant Icebreaker, John Grealish on a magnificent Stage 7 speech and to Manus Tiernan who achieved his Advanced Communicator Bronze ” Well done to all.
Manus’s speech completes the last point we needed as a club to achieve Presidents Distinguished Club Status for the incoming year.
Kieran O’Sullivan our hardworking VPE was voted Toastmaster of the year 2018. Kieran will be presented with his award at our dinner on Wed 20th June.’ Congratulations to all…What a year….

Our Meeting 2nd May 2018
We had 3 special speeches on the night, a Stage (10) from Patricia – very inspirational, an Interpretive reading speech (5) “I have a Dream” which brought us right back in time to 1963.
and an Icebreaker from Joe.
All speeches were brilliantly presented and very entertaining.
We welcomed 2 new members and 2 guests

We had 2 key Speeches on the night, a Stage (10) from Philip and “A dramatic talk” from Manus
Great Table topics from our President Cathy – very entertaining.
All Club Officers gave an overview of their role in preparation for the election of a new Committee.

International Club Speech and Evaluation Contest 4th April 2018
We held our club International Speech and Evaluation contests.
Congratulations to Cathy Reilly on winning the Speech contest and to
Peter Finnegan a worthy winner in the Evaluation Contest.
Peter and Cathy now go forward to represent the Club in the Area final in Dunboyne Castle Hotel next Monday night April 9th.
We wish them well.

Our Meeting on the 21st March
We had 4 magnificent Speeches one of which was an IceBreaker on the NEW Toastmasters “Pathways” module.

Our Meeting on the 7th March – Where has the Time gone….
It was a Fun packed night with 3 Speeches, Great Table Topics and a brilliant poem by Tom.
A most enjoyable Night for all of the members and Guests present.

At Navan Toastmasters meeting on Wednesday night, we had a talk about the new Pathways Programme which will revolutionize the way things are done in toastmasters.
We also had two speeches. Philip Brady did a stage 8 speech which required him to use visual aids, Sheila Dennehy did her stage 6 in which she had to use Vocal Variety.
our next meeting will be on the 7th of March in the Ardboyne Hotel at 8.00 p.m.

Our Area Tall Tales competition took place on 7th February. It was a fun filled action packed night
The winner was Joe Armstrong from Navan Toastmasters with a tale that was so outlandish and exaggerated that it could be true!!!
A big thank you to all the Clubs who supported the event and made it a special night.

Andrew Finnegan and Navan Toastmasters President, Catherine Reilly.

1st November who can believe it?….
It was a night of celebrating many achievements,
Philip Brady celebrating his well-earned Navan Toastmaster of the year award
Cathy Reilly (our President) winning the Area Contest for Humorous Speech
In between we had 4 wonderful speeches, 2 X Icebreakers from Kora and Constance and a wonderful Stage 5 from Sheila.
Manus gave a Speech from the Entertaining Speaker series and It was worth the admission. Twisting, spiraling and forking in all directions just like a Tree.
Well done to all for participating.
